Most online IQ tests hand you a score and stop there. Usually a flattering one, because a high number gets shared. We wanted the opposite: a test that tells you which kinds of thinking you are actually good at, shows you where you went wrong, and keeps a record so you can tell practice from luck.
What we hold to
Honest scoring
Scores sit on the standard scale — mean 100, standard deviation 15 — and we never inflate a result to make it feel better.
Explain, don't just grade
A number on its own teaches you nothing. Every question comes with the correct answer and the reasoning behind it.
Your data stays yours
No ads, no data sales, no third-party trackers built into the test flow.
Progress over one-off numbers
Every attempt is kept, because the interesting question is not "what is my IQ" but "is it moving".
How a test works
Question bank
Questions are grouped by the ability they target — logic, spatial reasoning, numeric, verbal, memory and processing speed — and by difficulty.
Timed delivery
Each question carries its own time limit, so speed is part of the measurement rather than something you can work around.
Scoring
Correct answers are weighted by difficulty and mapped onto the standard distribution, then split into a per-category breakdown.
Review
After submitting, you can walk back through every question with the explanation next to it.
What we don't claim
TopIQ is not a clinical instrument. A score here is not a diagnosis, and it should never be used for hiring, admissions or any other formal decision. Supervised assessment by a qualified psychologist is a different thing, and we are not a substitute for it.
